Day 1: Day 1 – Havana

The most important thing you need to pack is your passport, and you are ready to board a flight from your destination to Havana. After landing in Havana airport, you will be transferred to a casa particular. Rest and refresh for a hot second, and then kick off with a private walking tour of UNESCO protected Old Havana led by an expert licensed local guide. Fall in love with the history and architecture of Cuba’s capital. You will be provided with an amazing overview of everything that shaped Havana into what it is today. Stay overnight in Havana.

Day 2: Day 2 - Havana

Start your day with a traditional breakfast prepared by your hosts. When you sufficiently fill up your belly, you will be ready for more exploration. Hop in an old 1950’s vintage convertible for a comprehensive car tour of the city, where you will cover some of the sites not within walking distance, such as Vedado, Miramar, Colon Cemetery, Revolution Square, Malecon, El Cristo Statue and El Morro. Finish your tour with a drink at Hotel Nacional. Rest of the afternoon spend on utilizing some of the recommendations you will get from your local guide. After a fulfilling day of discovering and interacting with the people of Havana, you are ready to sleep like a baby. Stay overnight.

Day 3: Day 3 – Havana – Vinales - Havana

Breakfast is served. Your adventure continues as you depart to Viñales, where you will explore the majestic countryside of Cuba. Soak up all the beauty of the rural parts during your drive. There will be time to stop at the Los Jazmines lookout point to admire all the splendor of the surroundings. When you arrive in Viñales you are ready for a tour of the township and the farmlands in the vicinity, so there is no time to waste. All this walking and nature will work on your appetite. Yes, there will be a delicious traditional lunch provided on an organic farm. You will continue on to see the Mural de la Prehistoria (a 60-foot-long painting that took four years to make). This area is world-famous because of its tobacco plantations, and it is enough to say that the best cigars in the world originate from here. Delve more into it while conversing with farmers that know all the ins and outs of a fully functional tobacco farm. Reflect upon everything that was achieved that day (or just power nap) on your way back to Havana. Stay overnight.

Day 4: Day 4 - Havana

After breakfast, continue discovering captivating Havana. We recommend visiting some of the museums in the city. Museum of the Revolution is a good place to go into more detail about the revolutionary past and turmoil in Cuban history. Another great museum is the Museum of Rum where you can expand your horizons while learning more about the beverage they cherish deeply here. Stroll the streets of old Havana and meet new friends among the extremely friendly natives. Spend the day at your own pace. Stay overnight.

Day 5: Day 5 – Havana – Cienfuegos – Trinidad

When you are done with breakfast in the casa, pack your bags and continue your journey via Cienfuegos to Trinidad. Upon arrival start with a private walking tour of Cienfuegos, focused on the historic city center protected under UNESCO. Founded by French immigrants more than 150 years ago, it is known as the “pearl of the south.” This claim is easily backed and immediately spotted within the first encounters of the city. Your travels will then take you to Trinidad, where you will meet your new hosts in a casa particular. To finish the day, we recommend you to take a seat on the steps outside the open-air Casa de la Musica. Every night, the area beside the cathedral in Plaza Mayor comes to life with a live salsa band. After a day of venturing, recharge and refresh with a well-deserved good nights sleep. Stay overnight.

Day 6: Day 6 – Trinidad

Rise and shine! Have your favorite Cuban breakfast and a cup of coffee and continue on with the exploration. It’s time to be blown away by the colorful Trinidad. You will learn more about its history and see all the top sights in the city while strolling through the cobblestone streets during your private walking tour. Built on the fortunes of Cuba’s sugar plantations, this city is full of beautifully crafted mansions and sprawling plazas. After the tour enjoy the rest of the afternoon wandering the streets of Trinidad. Stay overnight.

Day 7: Day 7 – Trinidad – Valle de los Ingenios – Havana

After breakfast at the casa, your journey will continue to Valle de los Ingenios. The Valley of the Sugar Mills is a group of three connected valleys, and at its peak of production, over 50 sugar mills were active there. Due to its importance in Cuban history, it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Get a taste of the region’s sweet history by exploring the historic sugar mills. In addition, you will not miss the 146-foot-tall Iznaga Tower, which provides an excellent view of the nearby mountains and beaches. It was used to oversee the slaves in the plantation, and as a symbol of the Iznaga family’s power and wealth. Continue back to Havana. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated for one last night in the colorful city. Make the most of it! Stay overnight.

Day 8: Day 8 –Havana

After a good nights sleep, treat yourself to another breakfast prepared by your hosts. With all the new memories created, it is time to say “Goodbye Cuba, until we meet again.” Transfer to the airport. Board your flight. End of tour.
